>>We may see a jump in the chips tomorrow.<<

No, I don't think so. On an annual basis, profits from semis were already up 93 percent in the first quarter of this year. semis posted a 120 percent rise in earnings during the second quarter even excluding the $2.3 billion investment gain that Intel included in its results. PC sales nationalwide are seen slowdown. Yes, embedding codes into a single chip is a new trend in semis. INTC has been working on its new chip for quite awhile and I am expecting its new networking chips to be released in next quarter of this year. That's why many networking companies are facing big pressure now. 3COM has adjusted its positions in the industry 6 months ago. LU and NT are doing the same now. CSCO may go down further because router's functions may be embedded into a chip soon. I foresee CSCO may announce a big layoff next year. Good luck!
