(CNSNews.com) - A recent ABC News/Washington Post poll indicates that presidential candidates George W Bush and Al Gore currently are running neck-to-neck in the race for the White House as the decisive portion of the campaign begins.

Gore's recent rise in popularity nationwide, according to likely voters responding to the survey, is the perception he has an advantage on key issues and has increased his personal appeal.

The poll finds that each candidate has the support of 47 percent of likely voters. Green Party candidate Ralph Nader garnered three percent while Reform Party candidate Pat Buchanan had less than one percent. ...
