Robert and all, I have to ask 'are things so good they can only get worse?'

From the SJMercury News

>Economic slowdown?

Are you kidding?

It won't last forever, but so far this year Silicon Valley has positively roared.

The first Mercury News mid-year review of the top 150 Silicon Valley companies shows that sales soared 33 percent as corporations around the world snapped up their work stations, software, chips and routers as well as Internet services and advice.

And profits were nothing short of astonishing: The top 150 saw an increase of 83 percent in their two most recent quarters compared to the same two a year ago. That means they've already earned more profits in six months than they did in all of last year, promising to make 2000 the best year in over a decade.

In short: the valley rocks.
