RESEARCH ALERT-Microsoft reiterated as mkt outperform
NEW YORK, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs analyst Rick Sherlund reiterated his market outperform rating on software maker Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqNM:MSFT - news) on Monday.

-- Sherlund, one of Wall Street's most influential analysts covering Microsoft, said in a report that Microsoft had no plans to pre-announce results ``as business appears to be tracking in line with expectations.''

-- said Microsoft, the world's biggest maker of personal computer software, ``remains comfortable with our revenue and EPS (earnings-per-share) estimates of $5.65 billion and 41 cents for the September quarter.''
