Welcome to the Dick and Jim show. You sound like a guy that displays the technical brilliance of NYC cop or an insurance man, which means you should fit in perfectly here.

Discussing DRDRAM vs. DDR is pointless because "the powers that be" have already decided to dump DRDRAM. Production should peak late next year or earlier. Of course, many on this thread are so dellusional that they think there will be a low cost Timna DRDRAM system sometime early next year.

Look at Anand's benchmarks which you used to start this discussion.

DDR is faster than SDRAM when measured on the same platform, and SDRAM is faster than DRDRAM when measured on the same platform.

DRDRAM is the highest priced of the three. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what is going to happen to DRDRAM.

Try to avoid bringing AMD vs. Intel into the discussion, because we are talking about memory performance, not CPU performance on this thread.
