Rande, on WCOM, LU, UIS, FON, CPWR, VZ, NOVL etc.
my point in buying them has been that those which have already been whacked down by 70% (good companies only thank you) have nowhere to go but up (give or take 5% or whatever). WCOM, FON and LU by the way were not recently knocked down on bad news. WCOM fell on an acquisition and a 3% downgrade of earnings estimates by Lehman. 3% and the stock is now down 35% from an already "low" price. Today's dip on the open provides an even better buying opportunity. WCOM, UIS, LU, VZ and CPWR stand out as great buys this morning for me. Sliding for no reason. Real steals longer term (1-3 months I'm talking). I basically see no risk buying them here. That's my opinion.
