Well, with 20/20 hindsight, all is very clear. Insofar as the selective disclosure law is not yet in effect, management didn't find it necessary to cover their tracks. They just told their friends what gives on the Q.T. and can claim that, at the time they did, it was still perfectly legal.

Which brings up my question: When does the new law take effect? (I think I saw it on Yahoo, but I can't find it).
