I'm kinda surprised that there isn't more commentary than there has been so far about Klinton throwing Janet Renal into the pit. Looks to me as if she is about to be made the major scapegoat for the whole mess. I think she deserves it, mind you, and I'll shed no tears about it, but I am surprised that so little is being said.

After Waco, Klinton washed his hands and Renal "took full responsibility" (that was before we knew that "full responsibility" was a meaningless term), but this time, there may be some repercussions, especially since the decision to throw Lee in the clink was made in the White House.

As Jim pointed out, there is no controlling legal authority to prosecute anyone, except for the FBI agent who lied. But can't judges sanction lawyers in some way?
