<Why should the Naz weaken (because of a weak Euro?)>

Because it hurts corporate profits for many multinationals, including some tech companies.

The NAZ is not immune to higher crude oil prices and a weaker Euro.

I agree, with your statement about the euro...

It hurts multinationals who are hedging and aren't winning that game if they aren't trend followers as the EURO has taken.

For example, WSTL plays in the international market to the tune of 15% of sales this qtr, much higher than normal for them. But last qtr, they MADE a couple hundred G's on the decline as the difference in booking price and payables because of dollar denomination of the product. Given the bigger contribution this qtr, it should bode well for (other Income) in their books. Other companies can have these arrangements. Big companies play the futures and may be losing, so the press picks up on it. Cannot believe it matters to CMTN and it might NEXT year for WSTL as the Euro reverses course somewhat. But I have heard WSTL will be moving to a Euro based transfer next year ( good timing).

If I had a speculative cash account, I'd be moving it into Euros here!
Sure to provide a better return than 6 % US cash rate over next 12 to 18 months.
