You obviously haven't worked with Linux, but I can tell you, that since we took in Linux in our company, customer satisfaction has risen remarkably, our earnings have gone up and support has gone remarkably down. And we never had a server or workstation crash.

One of our customers has approx. 35 Windows PC's and 10 Linux's. There are frequently Windows support calls, but never Linux support calls. Never. And all 10 users use it daily.

The first Linux server we set up still runs and hasn't been shut down or rebooted ever. At that time our Linux expertise was still pretty small, and we have reconfigured the server a couple of times and upgraded the server software. But we haven't restartet the server.
