Sylvester,

Most of the PC133 vs. DRDRAM benchmarks published on the Web have shown PC133 ahead, including Intel's own web site.

<When knowingly benchmarks differ than even previous benchmarks posted, and everyone else for that matter, fraud is the best word that...>

Dear Sylvester,
You need to take a deep breath and calm down a little.
It is well known fact that some benchmarks may go down
on newer systems than on the early system. The reason
is the more and more deep microcode updates.
The "microcode update" technique is used by Intel
to patch numerous bugs that are being continuously
discovered in the course of wide field debug on
cusromer's premises. The microcode patch gets loaded
from BIOS upon system re-boot. If some hardware-enhanced
feature is broken or "unstable", the patch will work
around the problem either by disabling the feature
or replacing it with longer set of micro-ops.
In both cases some software codes will run slower,
and this makes benchmark scores lower. Couple of years
ago this effect was noticed on ASUS (or Abit?) boards
with P-II processors, and board maker posted the
excuse on their website.

<Maybe you have a better word. You welcome to use it.>
Yes, the better description would be "ignorance".
I just wonder whos it may be...
