It's been two months since Gore had a press conference. Why is he hiding?

Bush has a few every week.

Ishkabibble: Re: "Did you post a deceptive article"? I'm not sure where you're coming from. Let me try one more time.

I made a comment. I then illustrated that comment by posting an entire story, uncut, from the Wall Street Journal. Story ran this past weekend on the WSJ's on-line service.

The focus of the article was the pension provision in the IRA overhaul, and the fact that, if this particular provision would become law, many older workers would suffer through a changeover from a defined benefits pension plan to a so-called cash-balance plan.

The article never stated as fact that this bill has bipartisan support in Congress. It QUOTED a Fidelity flak as saying that. It was a direct quotation. Surely you understand the difference between fact and opinion. The WSJ quoted a Fidelity flak as saying the bill had broad-based support.
It is my opinion that the IRA portion of this bill may indeed have widespread, bipartisan support in the Senate, but the pension language, just recently inserted in the bill, is a different matter.
Fidelity, of course, would benefit handsomely from enactment of this legislation. Because of that, the quotes from the Fidelity flak need to be read in that context.
