For part of their products, both Extreme and Foundry lead a specific niche market in switches, but they are different markets. That's not the only reason to own either company, but if you get under the hood and look at both from the hardware/software side - I find compelling reasons to own both at this point.

Both are great companies, but it's not too hard to figure out at this pt. and time which investment will give a better return:
