I was not precise with the term post war.
should write post war until 1952.
First silicone transistors Russian had in 1946.
Germanium transistors in 1947.
Microwaves, stereos, colour tv did not fit military needs
so I will not argue.
One other thing worth to mention. Year 1964 engineer in small electronic company "Radiotechnika" located in south-western Poland
invented and received patent for wireless fax machine.
Russian military bought the patent and two prototypes.
They were using them to transmit metereological charts.
One more question- who and when invented fibreoptics,started mass production?
