Elwood;

I heard you the first time. I know. Don't buy cpq above 30! Thanks for the reminder though. I have however, progressed to a new rule. Don't buy cpq at any price. I suppose i should be happy that i only have 1000 shares at this point. Oh well.

Call me crazy with a K and a backward Z, but I bought more at 29 11/16.

In another week, the earnings warning fear should abate, which may provide for a rally opportunity.

Volume is relatively light today.

Just about the time you think the economic road is smoothing out you hit another bone jarring pothole.

U.S. TRADING SUMMARY: Technology stocks and blue chips succumbed to fresh selling in midday trading on Monday as more companies warned that their earnings will be hit by a weak euro currency and soaring oil prices. The latest warnings came for both firms like consumer products giant GILLETTE CO. (G: 28, - 1-13/16) andROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL (ROK: 30-3/8, - 7-13/16), one of the world's largest industrial automation companies. The selling grew as oil prices bolted even higher to $37.00 a barrel, a level unseen since the 1990-91 Gulf crisis. Rising oil prices, while helping oil companies generate more profits, hurt others by increasing their energy bill.
