I don't know Darrell - every time I look at Dell's website they are giving more stuff away with a Dimension purchase. Today, you can buy an 800mhz PIII system and they will give you an upgrade to a DVD drive, 1 year of AOL access, an Intel camera pack, and an APC surge protector - for $1299. Why do that from quarter's start (they have not done it in previous quarters that way) if 'they can't keep up with orders'? Makes the box side of things smell bad to me. Regards, John

Darrell, That's not it......The reason why dumb dooody dell dumping down is: "The Round Rock, Texas, company plans to drive down the cost of storage gear the same way it did with PCs, he says. Dell wants to turn most storage devices into commodities." Can you imagine that? Turn those nasty money making devices into a commodity product? Dumb Dell want to sell tons of those things at rediculously low prices and take tons of market share. Hear the analysts now.....storage products are a low margin, commodity type product.....Dell is just a commodity box maker....they need to branch out beyond the box......the commodity storage maket is dead.....Dumb dumb dumb.
