We can have people calling in with questions regarding specific stocks. Based upon the squirm effect, one can use as a predictor which side of the chair there is a greater "overhang", otherwise known as the "Derrier effect". We can assign a prognosicative value to where there is a right shift or a left shift. A neutral bias can be defined when both cheeks are sitting on square. This is otherwise known as ASSet allocation! regarding the use of a crystal ball. Standards must be established. One cannot have one of those snow scenes which are made in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, because there may be a bias towards the asian markets. One thing to consider regarding the price of fuel is that, if I am correct, that taxes are based upon percentage of the actual price of gas and are therefore a constantly changing variable. If that is so, it would be contrary to the goverment's interest to put a cap on these prices simply because the more they charge, the more taxes are collected. This is something that the goverment can clearly act upon. Now, as individual citizens, we can go back to conservation methods, a la the Carter administration. Here are some tips on saving gas. During the winter months, you can use your exhaust to heat the passenger compartment by bypassing the muffler directly into the ventilation system. When listening to your sterio, CD player, listen to it in Mono mode. Sterio is nothing more then a redundancy, besides the car is a poor accustically corrupted sound chamber. Use a CD that skips, this way the song is over in a shorter period of time. When possible, once you reach highway speeds, place the car in neutral. Yes, I know that the car revs, higher in neutral, but that can be offset by the coasting effect. One can also make use of the transference of inertia by using the kinetic energy from the car behind you. Hell, he won't mind, besides, that's probably how he got to you in the first place. Time your coasting when you reach your driveway to minimize use of your brakes. Use only one headlight or preferebly parking lights when driving out at night. saves on fuel. Use your wipers at the slowest speed possible, or better yet, put your passenger to work for you (after all, he's bumming the ride, make the s.o.b work for it) and have him wipe the windshield. These and other gas saving tips can minimize the financial burdons placed upon all of us. Now, was that a bit premature for me to buy back my Oct 260 calls on BRCM at 7 when it could have been done at a lower valuation. Can never call the bottom on these things. Best regards, David
