<<When I worked for the federal government there were always forms where you had to identify your status as a minority or white male (the only group not in a protected class).

I used to identify myself as an American eskimo just to through them off. >>

My cousin had the same deal with the state. He picked an uninhabited island in the South Pacific as his homeland.

I wish you were right, but the Democratic party would cease to exist if everybody were treated equal. They wouldn't be able to wedge everybody apart for their own gain. The key word is TREATED, not MADE.knc

dd, I must agree with you on the minority issue having only a limited time left on this earth. I see evidence every day, that members of different races are uniting, and having children, at such a rate, that before too many centuries pass, there will be only one race left, which will be a combination of the three basic races of Mongoloid, Negroid, and Caucasoid. IMO, a lot of groups that have been considered to be races apart from these three, are merely a mixture of these three. For instance, I am part American Indian which makes me part Mongoloid, and many of my Mexican friends know that they are also of Indian descent, which is the reason for their brownish shade of skin color. I have known some that say that is because of Spanish blood, but the Spanish that came to the "new world" were Castillians who were fair of hair, and skin. I am proud of my Indian blood, and have had my share of disputes with white Europeans that invaded this land over 400 years ago, but have now decided to bury the hatchet somewhere other than in their heads. (I hope you realize that is meant to be humorous).

In the final analysis, IMO, we are all Americans, and all of us are God's children. The color of one's skin is immaterial. It is what is in a man's heart that counts.
