Ish, Very true..I grew up in S. West Virginia. and damn' My
Father had lots of Rifles and one 38 special. But my late husband and I lived in Connecticut and there was never a need for a gun there. My son left a gun permit in his car and a couple of kids broke into it and tried to buy a gun;-(
It is a very difficult decision in some places and I do understand what you are saying. Most places should have to license Handguns to make their owners responsible for the damage they do. Have you seen a story about a "guntoter"
who killed his neighbor in Florida because he was out to get a man in a "red car" who had tried to pick up us son at a bus stop??? The Neighbor he shot had 4 kids and was 31. This
is deeply disturbing to me...

<BTW> A Crossbow works every time and is silent. el' why a gun in a home when a Meat Cleaver is so handy and silent???
I am part Cherokee...gimme' my damn Tomahawk;-)))))
