OT Scubria, if Gore cared about the environment he would stop the pollution from his mine. All he cares about is being President. On providing healthcare - is he a doctor?

Scumbria:

Re: The idea of a livable planet appeals to me.

Given that you didn't disagree with any of Jim's rant on Gore...

I don't know why you love Gore so much...he's going to help everyone, except you. Really, where's the break for Scumbria? Higher gas prices? Higher taxes? The social security you may never get? Good schools for your kids?
Free prescription drugs for everyone but you?
You have a job, probably a decent income...you're "rich"...
You will likely be written out of the gravy train.
Gore will even help tank you're portfolio...think he cares?
You had too much, anyway...

...how about voting for Bush, and donating more of your evil wealth to Greenpeace or the Sierra Club?

Adam

Scumbria,

RE:"The idea of a livable planet appeals to me.
Gore is genuinely concerned about slowing down the destruction of the environment, which is currently on full throttle."

No one is all bad or good. Gore has a few good ideas.
Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good by a large margin.
I just don't think anyone is going to get away with trashing the environment these days, except the general public, which can't be blamed, because they vote.

OTOH, Nader might be the better choice on the environment.

Interestingly, you were just trashing AG a month ago for trying to slow things down because the market was hurting your portfolio. Now, you seem to think pulling the "throttle" back is a good idea. And that throttle has a lot to do with how much we consume oil and pollute.

Jim
