Gary, I understand your decision to do this and I truly believe that this is SI's loss.

We will be in touch.
Tom

I have voluntarily terminated my membership due to SI's inablity and lack of desire to enforce the rules.

To be fair, the issue was whether or not I would *terminate* an account for a Terms of Use violation. I think termination for comparatively minor infractions is pretty severe.

But can respect your disagreement. Any decision we make will be viewed by some as far too lenient and by others as far too severe.

Regards,

SI Admin (Bob)

Your application for resignation has been denied. I'm sorry but according to the contractual agreement you will need to turn your portfolio over to me before you can be released.

Gary, I have no idea what the problem may be, but please do not leave. You are such an enhancement to SI - please think of all of us. (I know, being selfish here.)

Gary,

Please know that while I respect your decision to leave SI, I'll miss your input a great deal. I've had you peoplemarked for months and rely on your market insight and humor.

Gary, in the event that you are no longer checking PM's...

Are you serious? If so, that is unfortunate. I have found your information and thought process to be one of the more intelligent on SI. I hope that you change your mind. If not, will you be participating in an online discussion on another website? Good luck. tp

You know something?

I've seen some pretty stupid sh*t here at SI. But people falling on their swords when they don't get their way really takes the cake.

OG,

I was just reading through the thread and read your post.
It is admirable that you have are willing to take such a strong stance regarding principle. I hope there is an alternative solution to whatever the issue is/was, so that we on SI do not lose your valuable and insightful posts.

If not before......see you in nov.
Hugs,
Jane

OK, so one final question...

Since you're leaving, Sid wants the 'vette.

Actually, he just wants to ride. He can't drive. I'll have to drive him I guess.

Actually, I want the 'vette.

I made that part up about Sid.

Do you have like a TV and a stereo and stuff like that?

Golf clubs? Popcorn popper?

Any kind of leather jacket?

Thanks in advance.
