In the mean time in the pertinent area of economics it kinship to the dollar and to gold as a safety hatch currency.

The LA bus drivers are now on strike.

Some riders condemned the strike by bus drivers, who earn about $50,000 a year with overtime. They said poor immigrants who depend on mass transit work in restaurants and manufacturing plants for minimum wage or less.

"I am very concerned, not just for me, but for all the people," said Elisia Avalos, 29, who works at a garment factory out of walking distance from her home. "I don’t know if we’ll have enough to eat."

Many restaurant workers too are affected by this and more inflation yet to come. Of oil we speak in silent tongue and wars heaven forbid OPEC declare one.

Then why were the Russian electronics using TUBES into the late 50's?

For the same reason why many "people" use tubes today. Higher power! {and often some electronics can only be achieved with tubes}
