Darrell - I'm not sure I follow you here. DELL can not use their cash hoard to subsidize product sales without affecting the whole balance sheet. Sure they have plenty of money, but giving customers product is not an off-balance-sheet transaction - it comes right out of the bottom line, reduces gross and net margin, increases overall cost of goods sold.
