Thanks for interesting post.
Being an independent producer in West Texas, I have found myself wondering if OPEC had overdone it. I haven't forgotten November of 1997!
It will be interesting to see what happens. I don't see a "soft landing" by OPEC, but then I'm not sure I see a landing at all. The answer will be provided by the demand side of the equation. Much of what I have read indicates that demand has been largely underestimated. As we know, there is no accurate accounting system in place for crude oil, and we invariably end up shooting from the hip with estimates from every "expert" and government agencies that purport to know where all the oil is.
It makes my business somewhat treacherous at times.
