"Also, he said that revenue will not be good in the next 12 months"

He said don't get excited about revenue from the businesses services segment. He was NOT talking about overall revenues.

"Microsoft's biggest growth catalyst over
the next 24 months will focus around
software and services for small
businesses. But he warned that while
Microsoft is making a push toward
business services, "don't get excited
about revenue in the next 12 months
[for the segment].""

* Consumer and business services will grow 60%+ in FY01
* Enterprise s/w will have very high growth rates for # of years to come; in fy00 grew 35%, look for 50% in fy01
* Everything else will grow at rate greater than PC market of 18.5%

All in all I think this translates to 25% growth in FY01 in topline revenue.

Blisenko;

"Connors would have hinted to higher than expected EPS if they were forthcoming. Also, he said that revenue will not be good in the next 12 months"

Actually, if you care at all about being accurate, he said:

"Microsoft's biggest growth catalyst over
the next 24 months will focus around
software and services for small
businesses. But he warned that while
Microsoft is making a push toward
business services, "don't get excited
about revenue in the next 12 months
[for the segment]."

Please note the part at the end that specifically states the growth in the small business market in the next 12 months is nothing to get excited about. He was not, as you wrote in your post, referring to MSFT's overall revenue.

Jordan
