Scumbria,

That's easy. Reagan wanted to turn Yosemite over to the private sector to build an amusement park in Yosemite Valley.

I don't know how much truth and how much "embelishment" there is in this statement, I have to say I was horrified at how the government runs the Grand Canyon park, which is one of the treasures of this country.

After wonderful time in the parks of southern Utah, we arrived to Great Canyon, which was supposed to be the best part of our vacation, but it turned out that to be the worst. The park management is so incompetent there they couldn't make their way out of a wet paper bag. They employ these buses, that I don't know if they were purchased from Albania, or through the efficient government bidding process. Basically, they made the air unbreathable.

Scumbria,

And don't forget....would have made wonderful profits!!
