Clinton has already gone on record stating that he was reluctant to open the reserves saying that their purpose is for national security type of "emergencies". Now I realize Al Gore's election may be an "emergency" to him <g> but I just wonder if it will be hard to justify the release politically without playing up the "critical nature" of the need to release that oil? In other words I think there IS a perceived political advantage, but I'm saying there could be a backlash.
