I never claimed to know much about American politics. Also I have mentioned that debates are going to be the turning point. If I were to play odds, I would give Gore 53% and Bush 47% at this stage. But it is amusing to see Dubya backers who were gloating on 17 point lead 6 weeks ago, now squirm in their seats and now say that polls mean nothing. I would like to suggest to those people that polls were meaningless before labor day, now they are somewhat meaningful and after debates they will be much more meaningful.
