Oh, Beautiful Rudi, you are so delightfully young. When I was a lad, growing up in the '20s, '30s and early '40s, Tincture of Green Soap was the standard cootie (head lice) remedy. Whenever there was an outbreak in schools, camps, whatever, the standard treatment was supervised scrubbing, and I do mean scrubbing, with good ol' proven Tincture of Green Soap.
My memory is dim, but I do recall that there were loud screams of pain throughout the therapeutic cleansing. Yes, it did burn...eyes, at a minimum. Tattoos...no, but... under appropriate circumstances?
