Re: Maybe you should ask your management why

Paul,

I have a million questions to ask my management.

I'm starting to think the top 100 guys are incompetent enough to bring down the 200,000 guys like me (nothing to do with the Itanium decision). I think I could easily make better strategic decisions than our head guys. Too bad I'll never get the chance, I'll be gone long before I have a chance to move up the ranks.

Paul,

LOL!

"The ITanium should be an excellent 64 bit CPU for both server and workstation applications - paving the way for
further EPIC implementations."

Sure.. maybe. Except we will all have to guess it will
be a good workstation CPU as Intel has no intentions of
running SPEC benchmarks (according to info out of IDF).
Server? Okay.. maybe not the first go round. If you
look at the chipset for Big Sur, ask yourself what is
the shared memory bandwidth? Any ideas? ;-)
