Dennis,

Frankly, from a subjective view, I get the same feeling, but then I have to question why is the VIX still relatively low and the CBOE PUT:CALL ratio decline yesterday rather incline with the selloff.

The media has sufficiently highlighted the negativity, and I do sense worry. However the analytical analysis of market sentiment(VIX and PUT:CALL RATIO) are not supporting the pessimism that you and I and many others are feeling.

Is it possible that the VIX and PUT:CALL RATIO are not reliable now or could it be a case of not what people are saying/feeling but what they are doing.
