Re: "What a shame that the single woman has no drive to succeed on her own": That's nonsense. Single women have a great desire to succeed, as do single men and married men and married women. No, the problem too often is corporations and individuals that think of and treat single women as something akin to Nike factory workers in Asia: cheap, exploitable labor. Next time you bitch about the growth of the federal bureaucracy, consider that it has grown for a reason. Do we have agencies such as the EEOC because corporations and individuals always act ethically? Thank goodness the federal government offers protective agencies such as these for the common working man and common working woman.
