I think trend lines are being violated in both directions because there are so many people looking at those very same lines... therefore, when one person gets a buy signal, everyone gets the same buy signal and the market moves more than otherwise in that direction... the same phenomenon occurs for sell signals as well... everyone is looking at the very same data... this particular phenomenon has to be filtered out in our assessments of these markets before these markets can begin to make sense to us again.....IMHO
