Sycamore also achieved strong penetration with its SN8000, which represented more than 50% of quarterly sales. During the quarter, the company enhanced the SN8000 with the introduction of the SN8000 MC, which enables service providers to economically deploy the industry’s highest density solution for the Metro Core networks. The company introduced OC192 modules, ahead of schedule, for the SN8000 and the SN16000. Sycamore expects to begin shipping OC192 in volume this fall.
