house cleaning at the Energy Dept.
Nuclear weapons were made the responsibility of the Energy Department in a public relations ploy of the 1950s. One of the science books I studied in elementary school was Our Friend the Atom, which was pure propoganda to support nuclear power as a means of creating plutonium for weapons. A realignment of departmental functions is more in order than a personel change.
