KLP: When I speak of the common working man, I envision the Rockwell painting of the common man, the union man, who arises to address the assembly. I can see the picture clearly in my mind. You likely can envision the painting too. He wears a simple jacket. He exercises his right to freedom of speech. He is a Roosevelt Democrat. He is the salt of the earth ... truly the common man. There appear to be several people on this board who espouse conservative, Republican values but yet do not work and likely are on the dole. Perhaps not the government dole. Perhaps they let their spouses' hard work support their insouciant lifestyle.
