Colonel: Pat Buchanan's campaign will pick up more steam in the coming weeks. He will be more of a factor than you think. I believe he was down at Bob Jones U. yesterday soliciting votes from the far right. Bush is in a quandary. He cannot broaden his political base without alienating the far right. Buchanan has an interesting perspective on America that not many (including me) share entirely. Nevertheless, I do agree with him that America should no longer be the world's policeman. With the Russians cutting back their military significantly, we also can follow suit and use more of that money for social programs to benefit the needy elderly and others.
