So then you agree that it is up to the Supreme Court to decide what is a reasonable interpretation?

Then your argument breaks down to disagreement with particular MEMBERS of the Supreme Court. So I don't think there is an argument here, you are in favor of the status quo, you would just prefer more strict constructionists on the bench.
