Not at all. I was only responding to Scumria's "Al Gore is smartest this, smartest that" with the clear evidence to the contrary.

But, then you don't need any particular skill or achievement to impress certain people. All you to say "I care about xyz".

They simply have to be smart enough to understand the problem(s) and employ the most knowledgeable people to handle the problem(s) effectively.

Agreed.

Gore has shown evidence of being able to do that....of being a good generalist.

Where would this evidence be? He may, or he may not be a good generalist. I don't know. I haven't seen any evidence either way.

(Saying he cares doesn't count, btw.)
