OK, thanks. That makes sense. Under that scenario, they would not have any reason to hold the shares once they acquired them, so in essence they would flip them, unless they think the ongoing trend is down.

Edit: If they believe the ongoing trend is down, they have no reason to hold the shares. Only if they believe the trend is up, will they hold them.
