I know this....those damn analyst that are saying the semis will have bad earnings can take this news release and shove it where the sun don't shine.

I say we run on this news and run hard.
Not to mention the NT news has been ignored and I don't think the market has gotten a grasp of it yet.

dawg

<<Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to what ADI might earn based on this [45%] sales projection?>>

FWIW, the Oct. 2001 earnings range among 19 analysts covering ADI is $1.45 (less than this years' earnings) to $2.69, with an average of $2.32, or 55% better than this years anticipated $1.50.

If ADI continues to ramp existing products (or even see's some leveling), has successful launches of Othello, MEMS, the joint effort with Intel, etc., AND improves operating margins as stated, there could be more upside surprises throughout 2001.

I can't hazard a guess on earnings, but I am comfortable stating that more investors will become aware of its JUGGERNAUT status <gg>.
