Thanks Big. My better trades are Intermediate, 1 to 7 month holds.

ST is much harder, because so many people are playing that game. So I ordinarily do a lot less ST trading. There seem to be fewer players working the 1-7 (sometimes 1-11) month holding period. Believe that is a plus to working those time frames.

Am only half joking when I tell folks the majority of my ST trades are Intermediate or Longer Term ideas that didn't work<g>.

Right now, problem is that short & intermediate term boundaries are more blurred than usual because of end of quarter cross currents. They develop in the last few weeks of every quarter as large fund managers adjust their portfolios with a lot of last minute buys and sells.

The Intermediate turn up from the lows in late July, early August was easier to see ex end of quarter noise, so I hit that one fairly closely.

Will definitely buy back my favs if the the market comes to me. Will just have to see. As Peter Lynch once put it, "...not all my ideas work"<gg>.

Some holdings ARE pure LT, such as HGT and TCLPZ. Don't trade them at all. Need them to keep the "TAXMAN" at arms length as much as for the good LT capital gains that are building up in those positions.

Regards
