Don, The Galveston disaster of 1900 has been played up by the press here lately. There is an old saying: If you want beach front property in Galveston, you simply buy property a mile inland and wait. <g>

Don,

There's a book titled _Isaac's Storm_ which details the 1900 hurricane referenced. Apparently the hurricane crossed north america, sunk a few boats off Nova Scotia and disappeared into Siberia.
