Europe Reports to Show Slower Growth; German Confidence to Fall
By Francois de Beaupuy

Paris, Nov. 19 (Bloomberg) -- The euro region will probably show further signs of slowing economic growth in coming days, easing pressure on the European Central Bank to raise interest rates in the months ahead, analysts said.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is expected to trim its 3.5 percent 2000 growth forecast for the euro area and outline the probable impact of a tripling in oil prices on next year's growth when it publishes its twice-yearly Economic Outlook report Tuesday.
