This is the single best news coming out of ATHM in a year or more! AT&T is not going to replace Bell with another quiche-miester.It will be someone with a hard core networking background.

Agreed!

Stock is taking a pounding after hours and I'm dancing around the house with joy. Its a funny world.

You mean it is getting 'squashed' one last time at Bell's hand.

Like it or not it is still early in BB. DSL is attesting to this reality. Cable ain't behind, they are just becoming up close and personal with the realities of gearing up. Management counts. Look at the heat Armstrong has taken for his initiative, even from Malone and it was in large part his vision too. Some things require time even in the year 2000. I forget the name of the company, but a BB content provider of six years duration threw in the towel today. Said BB is coming but not quite here yet in numbers to support them.

Good news from T, good new leadership and making stated goals will turn the tide. Significant pops in price could be triggered by many things and who is to say when it will or won't happen? I have not been a good timer, so I'll hold the stock, but not my breath. A little over three months and 2001 is here, a lot of muddy water should have cleared by then.

We have been early and remain early. 3-5 years from now I do not believe we'll care all that much. Let's hope. : )

All the best!
