No most do not get halted. JAKK must have wanted to stop the bloodshed.

I see nothing wrong with those earnings that justifies the carnage over the last 2 days. They did miss estimates but not that much. Traded like they were planning bankruptcy

Got a bunch at 11 1/4 down to 10 11/16, sold 1/2 at 12 and waiting for tomorrow on the rest. Who knows maybe I'll decide to hold it for a few weeks

Hi Susie924,

Ooooops. Sorry if my post to you wasn't clear on that. I was making a joke.

Typically, stocks are halted when they have news to announce that may have "material affect" on the stock price. I'm not sure what qualifies as such, but an earnings warning definitely qualifies. The idea is to give everyone an equal change to digest the implications of the news before trading resumes.

My essence of my joke was that since the stock had already plummeted, the purpose for the halt was unneccesary.

As for buying JAKK, just keep in mind that a ton was just bought by people (like Wayne, lol) looking for a quick flip. But JAKK looks like a good value play.

Regards,
Chris
