<< Gore is now leading in Arizona >>

George W. "I have sinned, sob, sob, sob" Bush would have had a better chance, by staying completely out of sight. He actually had a chance to win, before he opened up his mouth.

TP: Your analysis is solid. McCain doesn't like Bush. McCain thinks Bush is a phony baloney. If the GOP gets thumped badly on Nov. 7, then the party will look to McCain to pick up the pieces. However, McCain may or may not be that person, depending on his health. Also, McCain will be, what, 67 years old in '04? Age also could be a factor in a McCain run in '04. Yes, I think McCain is planning a run in 2004, health permitting. He has done minimal work for GWB, as has Colin Powell. I also think McCain has spread word amongst the GOP faithful in Arizona to take it easy on the campaign trail for GWB. Bush cooked his goose when he turned his back on McCain and embraced the religious right.
