I saw a big difference when moved from an SDRAM to a RDRAM system (same CPU speed, HD, etc..)

Why would anyone buy a new computer, and spend a few hundred extra dollars on memory without upgrading their CPU or disk?

That is kinda silly, isn't it?

In fact, there was probably a noticeable degradation in performance after you pounded the SDRAM DIMMs into the RIMM slots (with a hammer, no doubt).

Ran so slow it was as though it wouldn't boot, did it?
