Scumbria, Typical to who? You? Sorry if I don't agree. They are not typical to John Doe, who uses his new 900+MHz PC for more than running Word one window at a time. The times have changed. There is not a single benchmark in there that measures "real life" or "typical workloads". Real life today means the net, browsers and net aware applications. None of these benchmarks benchmark "real life" or "typical workloads". BTW, what in the hell are you doing at SI with your browser? You should be a typical user and be running Word one window at a time <VBG> This is the net generation and benchmarks need to be updated to benchmark the new net generation. These old benchmarks are still benchmarking a machine like it's a DOS box. Get on with it people. Times have changed.
