I also found this: At 2:15 pm, the Senate will vote on final passage of H.R. 4444 at the Senate web site senate.gov Looking at the Nasdaq futures chart and my trading activity, I can't say that it had a big impact on the NDX. Might have been behind a few traders minds I suppose. The rest of the afternoon was mostly characteristic of a program of some sort, possibly someone buying to cover a larger short position. Steady upward grind without any real breakout volume oomph. And then it stopped. Well see if there's any buying oomph in ms market tomorrow. Now China.com had a big impact at 14:25... see what happens tomorrow. mw
